Suzuki Swift Sport, the story
The Suzuki Swift has a long history on the global market, it was in fact born back in 1983 under the name of Suzuki Cultus, the first two series of the Cultus were marketed 1983 to 1994 in the American, Asian and Australian markets.

Suzuki Swift SPORT in Italy
Suzuki Swift debuts in Italy in 1990 with the third series and came initially with only one sports version, the 101-hp GTi 1.3, equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve engine capable of taking the small sports car to a speed of as much as 190 km/h.

In 1992 the small Suzuki is now an established Hatchback sport and due to its small size and the weight of only 885kg can give great excitement, especially to the younger audience who appreciate it not only for its top speed but also for its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 9 seconds.

In the same year, the Italian market debuted the Suzuki Swift convertible, motorized with a quieter unit 1.3 68 hp.

In 1994 makes its entry into Italy the Suzuki Swift so to speak 'normal' i.e., powered by the same 68-hp unit as the convertible, this will be followed-two years later-by a model equipped with a new 53-hp 1.0 powerplant.
Returning to the sporty version of Suzuki's little one, it must be said. the GTi cycle ended in the very late 1990s, the last registrations, in Europe, occurred in 1999, like the example shown in the following photo.

The return of Suzuki Swift Sport
From the late 1990s it would have to wait until the mid-2000s to see the return of the sportier version of Suzuki Swift... In fact, in 2004, the fourth series of Suzuki Swift debuted. which will arrive in Italy in 2005. The break with the previous version is remarkable; the new Swift is more compact but at the same time much more comfortable, spacious and modern.
In 2006, the 3-door Swift arrives in Italy, which can also count on the Sport version, equipped with a 1.6 VVT 16-valve engine with dual variable valve timing. The Suzuki Swift Sport debuting in 2006 has an output of 125 hp and a top speed of 200 km/h.

The fourth series of Suzuki Swift will be produced in Italy until 2010 to make way in the 2011, at the fifth series which represents a profound renewal of the previous series without being a generational break.
Inside the fifth series, Suzuki Swift Sport always remains motorized with the 1.6 VVT unit, which rises, however, to 136 hp of power, while losing something in terms of pure performance compared to the previous version. In fact, the top speed recorded is 195 km/h and the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is always done in 8.5 seconds.

The new Swift Sport Boosterjet
In 2017, the sixth series of Suzuki Swift is unveiled. which is built on the new Heartect platform, modified and lightened to achieve remarkable performance through superior rigidity and lighter weight.
The new Suzuki Swift Sport debuts in Italy on April 20, 2018. for which, the house of Hamamatsu, decides to use a new boosterjet 1.4 turbo engine. The power rises to 140 HP and thanks to the low weight at only 975 kg the top speed rises to as high as 210 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration is around 8 seconds.
The new Swift Sport is finding much success among Japanese sports car enthusiasts, is particularly valued for its dynamic qualities and Is showing great potential for tuning as well, which is why we decided to create a special section on the site entirely dedicated to the new Suzuki Swift Sport where you will find lots of useful information and advice from owners and experts in sports tuning.

Goodasere, I would be purchasing a 1994 swift convertible with some minor repairs to make, where could I get the headlights and front bumper back?
Many parts sites don't give me the availability of headlights, for example, could you suggest a site where I would be fairly certain to get it back?
Thank you for your answers

good morning,
I purchased new in January 2019 a swift sport.
at first I was undecided because of the turbo, I would have preferred a naturally aspirated, but then I immediately changed my mind. enjoyable engine in every situation, practically "single gear" so elastic ( the low weight helps it I think .. ) and almost always free of turbo lag. ( it happened to me only once to feel the insertion of the turbo ) flaws ? the limiter cuts off at 6200, when it still pushes hard, and I did not understand why.
excellent consumption. with a little gas, in sixth gear, I touched 27 per liter in the suburban.
if it had a collectible future tomorrow, like 500 abarth for instance, it would really be the top !
in any case, highly recommended !
