Swift Sport ZC33S – Engine Oil Change in 10 Steps
We thought we'd put together some useful mini-guides for those who want to carry out the basic Suzuki Swift Sport servicing on their own, for the 2018-19 model with a thermal engine.

What you are reading is the first of these 3 mini-guides, dedicated to the engine oil replacement of the Suzuki Swift Sport, valid for the engine powered exclusively by gasoline, engine model K14C.
What you need to have in order to proceed with an oil change
To proceed with engine oil replacement, know that you will need to purchase 4 liters of lubricant and that Suzuki recommends the use of engine oil with viscosity SAE 5W-30 for the engine K14C. You will also need to purchase a new oil cartridge filter, part number: 1651081420.
Below are the complete specifications (extracted from the owner's manual), regarding engine oil, that Suzuki recommends for the thermal Swift Sport:
In addition to normal tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches and the clamp wrench (or chain wrench) for cartridge removal, it is recommended to use a torque wrench For proper tightening of the engine oil drain plug.

Procedure for changing engine oil
A little advice before we start, Warm up the engine for a few minutes, the oil will become more liquid and it will be easier and faster to drain it from the engine.

Unscrew the oil cartridge with the appropriate clamp or chain wrench

Once the oil is drained, reinstall the plug after replacing the washer/gasket, 14mm diameter. You will need a torque wrench as the tightening torque of the oil plug should be 35Nm, as recommended by Suzuki:

Clean the filter contact area of residual oil, then oil the rubber gasket and screw the cartridge into its seat, when it reaches the stop perform ¾ turn. Do not tighten with a wrench, the filter is tightened by hand or otherwise with a torque of 14Nm, no more.

Fill in new oil from the filler cap, 3.3L for the K14C engine

Remove the stands and place the car back on level ground

Start the engine for 1 minute, turn off and wait 5 minutes, check the oil level with the dipstick
Step 10
Reset the engine oil life indicator light.
How to reset the oil life indicator light to zero
Below are instructions, taken directly from the Suzuki Swift Sport owner's manual, to be followed to reset the engine oil life warning light. To be done at every oil change.
If you proceed to replace the engine oil. Before the relevant indicator light comes on, then the procedure for resetting the duration is different, and it is as follows:
