A very good value, about 15 to 20 hp higher than the actual power outputs of the various 600cc machines of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 750 Suzuki, in 2006, was presented in Italy in <strong>two colors<\/strong>, the ever-present <strong>white-blue<\/strong> Suzuki and an eye-catching fully <strong>black<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/suzuki-gsxr-750_2006.jpg\" alt=\"Suzuki GSX-R 750 k6 - k7 black\" class=\"wp-image-2348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/suzuki-gsxr-750_2006.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/suzuki-gsxr-750_2006-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/suzuki-gsxr-750_2006-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption>In our (unreliable) judgment, the black livery does the most justice to the lines of the GSXR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does it look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It comes from its smaller 600cc sister<\/strong>, uses the exact same frame (aluminum double girder), swingarm and crankcase, this makes it as agile and drivable as a 600 but with a significant advantage in maximum power and its delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared with the 600, the <strong>Showa fully adjustable fork<\/strong> and with anti-friction treatment, marks a notovele step forward in pecision and riding feel, especially when approaching the limit, on the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also <strong>Showa monoshock is new<\/strong> Compared with the previous model, it is lighter and more compact and is equipped with hydraulic compression brake adjustment on both high and low speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/telaio-gsxr-750-k7.jpg\" alt=\"chassis gsxr 750 2006-07\" class=\"wp-image-2364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/telaio-gsxr-750-k7.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/telaio-gsxr-750-k7-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/telaio-gsxr-750-k7-768x536.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption>Very compact and very powerful, basically a 600 with a superdoped engine!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The four-cylinder 750 is even more compact than that of the 600<\/strong> (from which it is derived), and is powered by dual injectors and dual throttle bodies. This is 2006, and there are no electronic driving aids--on the brakes you can still count on the <strong>slipper clutch<\/strong>, present as standard on the GSXR 750 k6 \/ k7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also characteristic of this model is the exhaust system, equipped with <strong>electronic exhaust valve<\/strong> and of <strong>short terminal<\/strong>, very aesthetically pleasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to the brake department we find a pair of <strong>310 mm front discs<\/strong> bitten by some <strong>4-piston radial calipers<\/strong> of Tokico and commanded by a <strong>brake master cylinder also radial<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cruscotto-gsxr-750-k7.jpg\" alt=\"Dashboard gsxr 750 2006-07\" class=\"wp-image-2363\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cruscotto-gsxr-750-k7.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cruscotto-gsxr-750-k7-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cruscotto-gsxr-750-k7-768x538.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To conclude, the instrumentation of the GSXR 750 is mixed, <strong>analog-digital<\/strong>, the tachometer on a white background is very large and 'racing'-style, perfect for track use, the gear shift indicator is also excellent, and all the lights and indications on the small display are very readable, including the speed readout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Still relevant<\/strong>, we can say with the certainty of not being proven wrong, most of the bikers who still own a GSXR 750 k6 \/ k7 example are proud of it and consider it a thoroughbred supersport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it goes on the road<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In summary<\/strong>: light, responsive and with a fairly exploitable engine on the road, powerful braking that tends, however, to 'stretch' a bit in hard use. Impeccable set-up... on the narrow mix it is incredibly effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Driving position<\/strong> quite hospitable for a supersport, not excessive fuel consumption and <strong>super-reliable engine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Known flaws<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Electrical system not always top notch<\/strong>, the power regulator tends to fail due to excessive overheating, it is solved by moving it to a more ventilated location or replacing it with other compatible models.<\/li><li><strong>Spongy braking under stress<\/strong>, installing braided brake lines is highly recommended, an aftermarket master cylinder also helps a lot.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it goes on the track<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"552\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/gsxr-750-k7.jpg\" alt=\"GSXR 750 on track\" class=\"wp-image-2383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/gsxr-750-k7.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/gsxr-750-k7-300x207.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/gsxr-750-k7-768x530.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lightning-fast curve inputs<\/strong>, easy to exploit in corner exit and stable on fast... <strong>on the track there is a lot of fun<\/strong>, without the worry and fatigue of having to manage herds of rampaging horses. Changes in direction are very rapid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the curbs, however, emerge the <strong>limitations of the standard braking and suspension system<\/strong>, if you want to ride and have maximum safety and performance, it is essential to replace these components with parts designed for the most extreme use. Once this is done you will have a vehicle ready to grind miles on the track under the motto <strong><em>'low cost and high yield'<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gsxr-750-pista.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gsxr-750-pista.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gsxr-750-pista-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gsxr-750-pista-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.suzukisport.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gsxr-750-pista-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The right tires<\/strong> for the track will complete the work, in which case our advice is to mount a rear tire with a higher shoulder.
